Presentation of the exchange:
As a New Entrepreneur my primary goal was to acquire knowledge and skills in relation to the concept of entrepreneurship, taking advantage of this unique opportunity to observe operation of real business, that already has its reliable customers, and to see how a true entrepreneur interacts with customers, how it acquires new-ones and how it leads negotiations with commercial brands.
My exchange took place in Dordrecht, the Netherlands at MOBILE Containing B.V. which is owned by the Host Entrepreneur, Mr. Leo Marinissen. During my stay I followed up the below topics:
• product development, production, quality control & management,
• purchase, work orders, production planning,
• cost & budget calculations,
• management features,
• product portfolio and features.
And observed the:
• marketing & sales,
• customer management features (customer relations, customer portfolio)
Profile of the entrepreneurs:
The new entrepreneur’s name is Mr. Olcay Yağmur and his duration of stay is 1 Month from 1st of November to 30th of November. The business sector is Furniture, domestic appliances and cleaning products. I would like to go beyond standardized (stereotype) products and manufacturing techniques in our country. Also I would like to learn from an experienced entrepreneur how to conduct decision-making process during the production phases of a certain product. Moreover, I would like to examine the hand tools or materials that are not available in Turkey.The host entrepreneur’s name is Leo Marinissen and his sector of activity is Electrical machinery, apparatus, equipment and consumables; lighting. His company’s name is MOBILE Containing B.V. which is located in Dordrecht, the Netherlands. The host entrepreneur would like to receive more information about local markets within South Eastern, East European countries and Turkey, as well as to enhance product development.
