The aim of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Programme is to stimulate an entrepreneurial culture, to reinforce entrepreneurial attitudes, and to foster networking and innovation.
Centro Studi “Cultura Sviluppo” intends to reach these goals, operating for perfect and successful matchings between Young and Host Entrepreneurs. This is the example of Serena Collorafi, a Young Italian Entrepreneur who arrived in London for an exchange with Luca and Nicola Pagliaro in their company “Vorrei Ltd”.
Serena gained new entrepreneurial skills and learnt how to manage a business, as well as how to deal with customers and how to start a market research.
The strength of the exchange was that Serena got to know about innovative methods, such as food trading online, and participated at conferences, fairs and meetings: this gave her the chance to increase her self-confidence and her communication skills, so useful for future networking.
Serena had the occasion to realise how different the UK market is, in comparison with the Italian one: from the study she made on the taste’s customers of different targets, Serena has noticed what kind of products ware more appreciated and which one could be better sold. The Italian food is very popular in the UK market, having the fame of being healthy, fine and tasty. Exports from Italy to the UK market could be an idea for the future enterprise led by Serena and Vorrei Ltd will be the first partner.
The exchange empowered her, and gave her the possibility to understand the varieties of markets in Europe: these differences could strengthen the cooperation among enterprises, and could increase the business. The Young Entrepreneur was very thankful to the Programme, to the EC and CSCS for giving her the possibility to widen her knowledge.
