“Working at Meson Ro, an architectural studio composed by three Young architects and landscapers, with people who have different profiles and interests, has been a great opportunity. In these months I’ve been involved in landscaping, sustainable architecture and design projects. It’s been so interesting, that I can only recommend EYE as a great experience, professional and personal opportunity.”

I’m a young architect with nearly three years experience as self-employed in Spain. I was looking for an international experience in a another studio of architecture to learn how the other people work in another country of the European Union. I found EYE, and considered it as a powerful and interesting opportunity to reach this experience.
My previous experience has allowed me to help the HE from the first day of work. I’ve been introduced in the studio with other young architects who are doing an internship, all of them from Basilicata.
The first project in which I’ve participated was the workshop to build a house made with straw and a wood structure. Then we started with the project of a park in which, in collaboration with the University of Basilicata, people of the neighbourhood and other interested students and people from all Italy. In this abandoned area of the city we’ve done some orchard for the community, an amphitheatre made with straw and a wood pavilion. The project is not finished yet, but the main works have been done.
Other projects in which I’ve participated has been the design of a terrace for a flat in the city and the design of an Arabic garden for Portofino (Italy).
The closed collaboration between the HE and me has been a great opportunity to know how our profession works in Matera, in particular, and in Italy, in general. The exchange of knowledge between us has been a very productive for both. We both are sure that we will be in touch in the future and we could collaborate for future projects, competitions or research works.
